Do I need to do anything special?
You don't need to prepare for the CT scan in any way. When you arrive,
you will be asked to remove any jewelry from your head and neck so that
it doesn't interfere with the study. Once in the examination room, all
you do is lie face up on the CT scanner table. Your head will be
comfortably cushioned in a padded cradle. The table will
slide through the CT scanner and the examination will take place. You won't
feel a thing, and the only part of your body under the scanner (donut)
will be your head. In only twenty minutes (forty minutes for both jaws)
you're finished. That's all there is to it. There are no injections,
dietary restrictions and no invasive procedures.
How do I set up
an examination?
The Dental Implant Center office staff will assist you in arranging the
appointment for your CT-3D examination. Your medical insurance will
usually cover the cost for this procedure. However, we can not guarantee
your insurance coverage. |
