Dental Implant Procedure: Step 1 Examples

1. An incision is made
in the gum with a scalpel.		 2 & 3. A series of drills are used to prepare the site in the jawbone for placement of the implant.
 
4. The implant is placed into the socket in the jawbone. 5. Once the implant is in the final position,
a sealing screw is placed.		 6. The gum tissue is sutured over the implant and healing is allowed before the crown is attached.
